Just Don't Suck
Every time I see terrible restaurants in business, I LOVE it.
Bad service, mediocre food, terrible website. 😍😍😍
It just keeps reminding me how low the bar is and how we don't even have to be excellent to win, we just have to NOT be ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.
And on top of that, we're going to actually be AWESOME.
Years later, hopefully we'll be successful, and when someone interviews us to ask us our secret to success, we'll say: "We just made it a point to not suck."
Reminds me of a quote by Charlie Munger:
"It's remarkable how much long-term advantage people like us have gotten by trying to be consistently not stupid, instead of trying to be very intelligent."
