Server Tips vs Restaurant Net Income
In the United States:
A “typical” restaurant makes 10%-ish net income.
A “good”-ish tip is 20%.
So, for a 1.5 million a year restaurant, there’s a reasonable chance that the aggregate takehome amount for servers is higher than that of the owners.
