right now (summer 2021) in the US, there seems to be a common issue in food service/restaurants where there are more available job openings than candidates actively seeking work.
i think it will pass though and the market will adjust.
maybe more people will start seeking work eventually, or establishments will go out of business so there will be less openings, or pricing will adjust to make it more attractive for people to work in food service.
Job doesn't seem that important to them? Or is this normal in your place?
